LAKE POiNT PROGRAMS
Competitive Gymnastics
Lake Point Gymnastics offers Xcel Bronze-Sapphire and DP levels 3-10 along with a pre-competitive program named Hot Shots. Register to join a program. Coaches will evaluate each athlete and place them in the program class designed for their skillset.

Competitive
Women's Developmental Program (DP)
Our national governing body, USA Gymnastics, directs competitive gymnastics. The development program consists of 3 different sections, Compulsory levels 3-5, Optional levels 6-10, and Elite. The Elite program is where international and Olympic-level athletes are trained.

Lakepoint Developmental Program (DP)
At Lake Point Gymnastics & Gym Center, our competitive team begins with the competitive Level 3 and continues through level 10. Competitive Team requires past gymnastics experience, good work ethic, and a desire to learn.
DP Levels 3-5: Compulsory
Compulsory team season runs September - January
DP Levels 6-10: Optionals
Optionals team season runs December - May
In Optionals, gymnasts may create and build their own routines; however, they must include certain required elements pertaining to their levels skill requirements.

Xcel Program
Xcel is a competitive gymnastics program that follows the same structure, events, judging, and skill development as the DP Women’s program. The Xcel program has a less intensive training structure, allowing athletes to participate in more activities outside of the gym. The program is designed to provide a broad-based, affordable, competitive experience.
The Xcel program has 6 distinct levels. Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, & Sapphire. The great thing about Xcel is it's less of a time commitment and typically cheaper. Xcel is perfect for those who may participate in multiple sports and are looking for a more affordable option.

Hot Shots Program
Hot Shots is Lake Point's pre-competitive team program. Our pre-team is an invitation only program designed for athletes who show potential and drive to be competitive gymnasts.
Pre-team focuses on developing the foundation, strength, and flexibility a gymnasts needs to be successful in a fun, safe, and supportive environment! Our goal is to foster a love and ambition for the sport while also preparing athletes for future competitive opportunities. We currently offer 2 levels of pre-team.
